​The GEF Student Grants Program was created to offer additional funding to support dynamic GUSD students who want to launch inventive projects that will benefit their classmates, their schools or the district, and for student groups in need of additional support to supplement an already existing program.

In the inagural 2023 - 2024 school year, 22 students (or student teams) were awarded grants, totaling $18,500.
