Student Grants Program
The GEF Student Grants Program offers funding of up to $1,000 to support dynamic GUSD students who want to launch inventive programs that will benefit their classmates or their school. The proposed project may be part of an existing school program or be a completely new endeavor. It must fall within one of GEF's three focus areas: science & technology, performing & visual arts, or health & wellness. Last year, funding went towards creating a chess club, understanding Python programming and even building an escape room. This is a great opportunity for students to get creative, spread their wings and take a leadership position, all for the benefit of GUSD.
In the inaugural 2023 - 2024 school year, 22 students were awarded grants, totaling $18,500.
