The GEF Teacher Grants Program awards competitive grants of up to $1,000 to teachers who work in the Glendale Unified School District and are seeking additional funding for classroom programs. This can include school-wide projects, field trips, instructional materials or professional development opportunities within one of GEF’s three focus areas: arts, health & wellness, and science & technology.

In the 2023/2024 school year, twenty-one teachers were awarded grants totaling $19,250.00 for projects ranging from stage makeup and costumes to financial literacy calculators and year-end outings for special needs students.
