Teacher Grants Program

The GEF Teacher Grants Program awards competitive grants of up to $1,000 to teachers who work in the Glendale Unified School District and are seeking additional funding for classroom programs. This can include school-wide projects, field trips, instructional materials or professional development opportunities within one of GEF’s three focus areas  Visual & Performing Arts, Health & Wellness, and Science & Technology.

In the 2023-24 school year, twenty-two teachers were awarded grants totaling $19,250.00 for projects ranging from stage makeup and costumes to financial literacy calculators and year-end outings for special needs students.

For the 2024-25 school year, a record breaking 67 Teacher Grants applications were received. The recipients of the grants were announced at the State of the Schools on October 30th. Congratulations to all of the applicants!
